2012 Virginia Marrieds’ Retreat: “The Vow”
The 2012 Marrieds’ Retreat is fast approaching! This year’s retreat will be held on February 18th and 19th at the Williamsburg Marriott. Harrisonburg Service this Sunday
This Sunday, 16 October, the Blue Ridge Church of Christ will be worshiping in Harrisonburg!
Service will begin at 11am at JMU’s Taylor Hall room 405. Please park in the C4/Hillside Parking Lot. Children’s ministry will be provided in an adjacent room. Teachers are asked to be at Taylor Hall no later than 10:30am. Parents may pack a snack for their children.
Driving Directions: from Charlottesville, take I-64 West to I-81 North. From I-81 North, take exit 247B (U.S. 33 West). Take U.S. 33 West to Cantrell Avenue and turn left. Proceed through two traffic lights and turn left into JMU Parking Lot C4.
Walking to Taylor Hall: from the C4/Hillside Parking Lot, follow the sidewalk that runs to the left of the tennis courts. Turn right at the end of the basketball courts and take the walking bridge over the creek. Taylor is the tall building in front of you and to the left.

Our annual Christmas Banquet and Church Service will be held this Sunday, 5 December 2010, at 10:30am at the Blue Ridge Café in Ruckersville. The banquet will be catered by the “The Chef” Sean Hayes and was a big hit last year. There will be a slide show, a talent show, and Christmas merriment of all kinds. Tickets are $13/adult and $8/child 5-13 years old. See you there!

Virginia Statewide Church Service
Join us as the Roanoke Valley, Richmond, Charlottesville, Hampton Roads, Potomac Valley, and Northern Virginia churches come together for our annual statewide worship service!
This year’s worship promises to serve as an inspirational, unifying, and bonding time with well over 1,000 disciples expected to be in attendance. Be sure to allow at least 1 hour, 20 minutes for traveling to the service from Charlottesville. See you there!

Generations ACR Conference
Join us this fall as we take up the shield of faith from generation to generation at this year’s American Commonwealth Region (ACR) Conference.
The Hampton Roads Church is excited to host disciples everywhere from Canada to Puerto Rico and Kentucky to Maryland during the weekend of Friday, November 5th – Sunday, November 7th 2010 in sunny Virginia Beach, Virginia.
An attendance of over 1,800 is expected as we sing, pray, laugh, and study God’s word together.
The conference will officially begin Friday evening and all lessons will be held at the Virginia Beach Convention Center. This year’s program will include:
- Ministry Staff program beginning Thursday night and concluding Friday morning
- Compelling biblical exposition of the Book of Daniel
- ‘Family-friendly’ schedule allowing both parents to enjoy lessons
- Women’s Program
- Singles, Campus, & Teen mixers!
- Elder/Deacon Reception on Saturday evening

Shine! Singles’ Weekend
The Blue Ridge Church of Christ is excited to announce our first Singles’ Weekend. This event will be held April 24 – 25, 2010 (Saturday and Sunday) in Charlottesville,VA. We will have a Sunrise Devotional, Outdoor Activities, and a Play Date after dinner. Come join us for a great time of fellowship and fun.
Registration is $10 per person, payable on arrival. Please take the SHINE registration survey as soon as possible to indicate your housing needs and activity and dietary preferences. Advanced registration with your Bible Talk Leader is encouraged. Limited housing available on a first come, first served basis. If you are in need of housing, please indicate at registration.

Fearless and Free
The Blue Ridge Church of Christ is excited to announce that Fearless and Free, our annual Women’s Night Out event, will be held on Saturday, 20 March 2010 from 6-8pm, at First Methodist Church in Charlottesville. Our guest speaker will be Kay McKean, women’s ministry leader of the Northern Virginia Church of Christ. There will be a lesson, testimonials, games, food, entertainment, and lots of great fellowship.
