Congratulations, Joe!
On Sunday, February 20th, Joe Duquette (second from the left) was baptized into Christ. Most of the Charlottesville church was on hand to see a good friend become a brother in the Lord. Joe and his wonderful family have been coming to church since last Fall and both Joe and his wife Lisa started studying the Bible shortly thereafter. They have become close friends with so many of the disciples and we all praise God for the dramatic changes he has brought about in their lives.

On December 14th, UVa student Tammy Teng was baptized into Christ! Her parents are disciples in the Jakarta church and flew half-way around the world the previous day to be a part of the celebration. Everyone was very moved by their testimony and by their obvious love for all of their daughters.

The Spirit has moved powerfully in the JMU ministry, even during finals week. Michelle Tucker was baptized on Wednesday night, May 5th, and we are all so encouraged by her faith and zeal.

The U.Va. ministry had its first baptism of the Fall semester when Kate’s friend Laura became our sister in Christ.
Welcome (Back) to Blue Ridge!
This summer has been an exciting, if not challenging time for the church. Two of our families have moved or are in the process of moving. The Shulers and Hutchins are dear friends and the church wishes them well in Austin, Texas and Virginia Beach, Virginia. Seeing our loss and able to meet all our needs, God has blessed us with fourteen baptisms, move-ins and move-backs in past few months alone! We would like to welcome all of our new brothers and sisters, who have come from as far away as Colorado, Wisconsin, and Guyana and as near as Northern Virginia and Richmond. Welcome to our family!
