Monica’s Moving to Minneapolis
Our sister in Christ, Monica Wright, was recently selected second overall in the WNBA draft by the Minnesota Lynx. We are all so proud of her many achievements at the University of Virginia and are excited to see what God has planned for the next phase of her life in Minneapolis.
Shine! Singles’ Weekend
The Blue Ridge Church of Christ is excited to announce our first Singles’ Weekend. This event will be held April 24 – 25, 2010 (Saturday and Sunday) in Charlottesville,VA. We will have a Sunrise Devotional, Outdoor Activities, and a Play Date after dinner. Come join us for a great time of fellowship and fun.
Registration is $10 per person, payable on arrival. Please take the SHINE registration survey as soon as possible to indicate your housing needs and activity and dietary preferences. Advanced registration with your Bible Talk Leader is encouraged. Limited housing available on a first come, first served basis. If you are in need of housing, please indicate at registration.

Fearless and Free
The Blue Ridge Church of Christ is excited to announce that Fearless and Free, our annual Women’s Night Out event, will be held on Saturday, 20 March 2010 from 6-8pm, at First Methodist Church in Charlottesville. Our guest speaker will be Kay McKean, women’s ministry leader of the Northern Virginia Church of Christ. There will be a lesson, testimonials, games, food, entertainment, and lots of great fellowship.

March Campaign: Counterfeit Gods
When the apostle Paul entered Athens in Acts 17, he was “distressed”, or filled with righteous indignation, to see that the city was filled with idols. Our world today is no less saturated with ideas, objects, and dreams that seek to take the place of God. For the month of March, the Blue Ridge Church of Christ will be on a campaign to confront the modern-day idols in our own lives and to share the gospel with a world that needs to know the true God. We will be reading Counterfeit Gods by Timothy Keller and will be having sermons, devotionals, and Bible discussions on the same topic.

Valentine’s Day Evening Service
